Vinification The grapes for our Gewürztraminer were harvested at the peak of maturity on October 21st. 2006 was an abundant vintage with a long warm ideal growing season. Acid levels were slightly higher than previous years so look for these wines to pair very well with food.
Winemaking We allowed the wine a long, cool stainless steel fermentation to maintain the intense flavours and aromas.
Aroma / Bouquet / Nose This wine displays a spicy aroma of lychee fruit, orange blossom and hints of pink grapefruit. Our Gewürztraminer bursts with rich, exotic flavours of passionfruit, lychees and ripe melons.
Food and Wine Pairing This wine is a wonderful complement to curries and other Asian cuisine, especially where ginger, anise, hot peppers and soya sauce is used. It is also wonderful to enjoy sipping on its own.
